Gary Moore McMurray age 90 of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away on September 10, 2026 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born on November 5, 1935 in Rainsboro, Highland County to the late Vollie and Edith (Fletcher) McMurray. He was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He spent many years working in the banking industry and later followed his passion for automobiles and boats first opening Hi-N-Dri Boat Shop and then G-Mac Auto Sales. Above all, Gary was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was very important to him, and he cherished the time and relationships they shared. Whether he was stopping for a meal at Bob Evans or Frisch's, visiting with familiar faces around town or simply sharing a story, Gary never met a stranger, enjoyed people and fellowship that came with them. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Shawn McMurray, brothers Everett and John McMurray, sisters Thelma Rhonemus and Ruth Ingram. Survivors include his daughter Jennifer McMurray (Rich Brannon), grandson Nicolas Brannon (Buffy Murphy), great granddaughter Ava Jo Brannon, as well as a great grandson to arrive anytime, brother Lee (Joyce) McMurray, sister Patricia Cook as well as his nieces and nephews that he also held a special place in his heart, loving and supporting them throughout his life. Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
