PIKETON, Ohio — The Community Action Committee of Pike County is offering two free Microsoft Office training workshops next month at the PORTS Recruitment and Career Center, the agency announced.

The Workforce & Business Development Program, in partnership with the career center, will host a Microsoft Word Level 1 workshop on Dec. 15 and a Microsoft Excel Level 1 workshop on Dec. 17, both from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the agency. Both classes are free and will be held at the PORTS Recruitment and Career Center at 1862 Shyville Road in Piketon.

The Word workshop covers document editing and formatting, tables and graphics, lists, page layout, proofing and customizing the Word environment, the agency said. The Excel workshop covers creating and saving worksheets, performing calculations, formatting data, printing workbook contents and managing large workbooks.

Registration is required, as seats are limited. For more information or to register, contact Erica Jones at 740-289-2371 or [email protected], according to the agency.
