CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway Township Fire Department is adding a bounce house, sheriff’s cruisers and fire trucks, and a medical helicopter fly-in to Saturday’s Movie Night at AMVETS Post 2256.
The free event kicks off with activities before a 9 p.m. showing of Disney’s “Cars,” the fire department said in a Facebook post. Children are invited to arrive early to bounce, explore Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office cruisers and Pickaway Township Fire Department trucks, and meet local first responders.
An Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter is scheduled to land near the post and be open for viewing starting at 7:30 p.m., according to the fire department. Air Evac Lifeteam operates an air medical base in Chillicothe that serves Pickaway, Ross, Vinton, Fayette and Pike counties, flying trauma patients to hospitals.
Movie Night will be held at AMVETS Post 2256, 818 Tarlton Road in Circleville. The post, which also includes a Ladies Auxiliary, Sons of AMVETS and Junior AMVETS program, regularly opens its grounds to the community for events such as its annual Veterans Day appreciation gathering.
