WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Fayette County employees lost a combined 200.4 pounds during the latest round of the county health department’s workplace wellness competition, according to Fayette County Public Health.
The health department announced winners this week from the 38th installment of Rolling Rimples, a free four-month weight loss and fitness challenge that pits teams of coworkers from local businesses and government offices against each other.
Fifty-three participants from 11 businesses formed 13 teams for the latest round, the health department said in a Facebook post.
Tiffeny Kirkpatrick, of the Fayette County Adult Probation Department, placed first among individual competitors. Brittany Bryant, of the Fayette County Board of Elections, finished second, and Tammy Barton, of the Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services, took third.

Kirkpatrick also anchored the winning team, joined by Amy Sword of the Fayette County Common Pleas Court and Brian Miller of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Rolling Rimples groups participants into teams of four or five people from local agencies and businesses, and Fayette County Public Health staff visit each workplace to conduct weigh-ins at the end of every four-month cycle, according to the health department’s website. Individual winners receive Kroger gift cards — $100 for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third — and each member of the top-scoring team also receives a $50 gift card.

The program is run by Fayette County Public Health, led by Health Commissioner Leigh N. Olaker, as part of the agency’s health education services, which also include immunization clinics and reproductive health care, the health department said.
Anyone interested in future Rolling Rimples sessions can call the health department at 740-335-5910 for more information.
