ADELPHI, Ohio — A 3-year-old was flown to a hospital late-Saturday night after an accidental amputation.
Details were scarce, but EMS were called to a home in Adelphi along the county line just after 9 p.m. after an adult called 9-1-1 to say that the child’s hand had been partially amputated.
The Guardian was unable to confirm the severity of the amputation, but a medical helicopter was called to fly the child to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
The events leading up to the amputation were not immediately released.
