Alice Suzanne Gallaugher, 81, of Chillicothe, departed this earth to her heavenly home early Saturday morning July 3, 2021 at Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. Alice was known as “Suzanne” and was born in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Brooks and Oval “Opal” Miller Walker. On April 4, 1959, she married John Gallaugher who preceded her in death in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Hartsel) Tanner, of Chillicothe; a son, Mark Gallaugher, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Ryan Tanner, of Chillicothe, Renee (Tony) Slutz, of Chillicothe, Evan Gallaugher, of Chillicothe and Mark Gallaugher Jr., of West Virginia; and a great grandson, Cooper Slutz, of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by a son, John Gallaugher.
Suzanne retired from the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center where she was a L.S.W. at the Floyd Samantel Clinic. Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and getting coffee from McDonald’s. The family would like to thank the staffs of Westmoreland and NCR Hospice for all the care they provided. In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service, with Pastor Jack Norman officiating, will be held in Londonderry Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
