ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Deputies in Ross County were able to get a handle on a muddy situation.
On Monday, law enforcement received a call that a neighbor’s dog had gotten loose and was attacking a nearby pet pig.
Eventually, deputies wrote that the dog was subdued and kenneled by its owner. While they were on scene taking a report, deputies said an elderly man related to the dog started fighting with law enforcement.
The man told deputies that he was suicidal and pulled a knife from his pocket, waving at them and proceeded to place it on his wrist.
Reports said deputies were able to disarm the man from the knife and that EMS was called to the scene to take him to the hospital.
