ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — According to law enforcement officials, multiple agencies coordinated a sweep targeting drug distributors in the village of Glouster.
Reports state that Daniel McKee, 51, and Jeff Hammom, 41, both of Glouster were arrested in the first round of the sweep.
The Athens County Prosecutor said Hammon was charged with felony drug trafficking, and McKee had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
The sweep continued on Thursday, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Multiple agencies conducted simultaneous raids at different locations in the area.
Arrested in the round-up were Paul Losey, 47, and Paul Losey Jr., 27, both of Glouster. Officials say both men were charged with drug trafficking.
Kevin Azbell, 51, and Joe Dixon, 33, were also arrested for probation violations.
Thomas Thomas, 45, of Glouster, was charged with drug trafficking.
Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn said, “We continue to try to help those who are struggling with addiction but we’re not going to tolerate those who spread it.”
