ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff says that DeShawn Nesbitt is in custody. According to reports, Nesbitt was taken into custody Friday, July 30, around 11 a.m.
Law enforcement officials said Chillicothe Police executed an arrest warrant at a residence on High Street in Chillicothe. It was at that residence, reports say, that they located Nesbitt. He was taken into custody without incident.
Nesbitt was on the run for his alleged involvement in a shooting earlier this month in Frankfort.
DeShawn T. Nesbitt, 18, has been charged with felonious assault, according to the Ross County Sheriff.
Deputies along with EMS from Union Township responded to a house on Austin Road, in Frankfort, on July 17.
EMS on the scene found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Grant Hospital in Columbus. The victim in this case is expected to make a full recovery.
