Ronald L. Wills, 87, of Chillicothe, died at 8:55am Thursday, August 5, 2021, at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born June 15, 1934, in Chillicothe, to the late Earnest F. and Dolores E. (Speakman) Wills. In June of 1978, he married the former Marjorie E. Burns, who preceded him in death on October 6, 2003. He was also predeceased by brothers: Earnest, Jr., Robert and David Wills; and a sister Nancy Gatten.

Surviving are his children: Rhonda (Nick) Schneider, of Casselberry, FL, Blaine Wills, of Ft. Myers, FL, Kathy (Steve) Alderman, Chillicothe, and James (Nicole) Wills, Londonderry; grandchildren: Kristin (John) Shaw, of Green Cove Springs, FL, Kevin (Amanda) Schneider, of Sky Valley, GA, Alexandria Alderman, Chillicothe and Chloe Wills, Londonderry; great-grandchildren: Meghan Schneider, Casselberry, FL, Ella and Myla Shaw both of Green Cove Springs, FL, River Schneider, of Sky Valley, GA and Grace Schneider, of Altamonte, FL; and his sister Lucinda (Denver) Kingsland, of Chillicothe.

Ron was the owner/operator of Wills Painting Co. until his retirement in 1996. He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and served his country in both the US Navy and Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He had been a member of the Dry Run UMC, Chillicothe Exchange Club, and Chillicothe Country Club.

His funeral service will be held at 10am Monday, August 9, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
