ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A driver led police on a wild, high-speed chase Wednesday evening, just north of Chillicothe.

According to reports, a driver failed to stop for law enforcement and then took off at a high rate of speed at around 6 p.m.

Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol pursued the suspect on route 159 toward Synder Road in Ross County. Authorities say the driver stopped after driving through a field.

Officials have not released any additional details regarding the pursuit, and the incident remains under investigation.
