ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Deputies with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded to Clinton Road Thursday afternoon for a one-car crash. The call came in shortly after 2 p.m.
According to police dispatch, a vehicle had lost control and then struck a utility pole. Sheriff’s deputies reported that the utility pole broke off at the base. The power company, according to reports, was notified of the incident.
Officials said Clinton Road was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was evaluated by EMS and then later transported to Adena Regional Medical Center. The person’s name and the extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
The cause of the crash, authorities say, is still under investigation. No further details were available.
