ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Two suspects were taken into custody overnight after leading troopers on a high-speed chase.
According to reports, the driver fled from troopers shortly before midnight, near Greenfield.
Officials say the driver fled at a high rate of speed but eventually stopped following the blowout of the vehicle’s two front tires.
Troopers with deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office followed the vehicle to Moon Road. That is where, witnesses say, the two occupants got out and fled on foot.
Law enforcement requested a perimeter along Moon Road and Lower Twin Road in Ross County in an attempt to corner the fugitives. K-9 units along with aerial support were called to the scene to assist.
Around 1:30 a.m. law enforcement located the suspects. Both individuals, reports say, were taken into custody.
Authorities have not released any details on the reason why the two individuals fled. The incident remains under investigation.
