PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A crash in Pickaway County claims the life of a Ross County man.
According to Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey, the crash occurred Sunday, January 2, around 10 p.m.
Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol said 62-year-old Kevin Lewis of Kingston was driving his 2008 Nissan Frontier along route 361 when he veered off the right side of the roadway. Reports say the vehicle then traveled nearly 200 feet, striking multiple trees, and then rolled down an embankment into a creek.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found Lewis deceased inside his vehicle.
The body of Lewis was transferred to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an official autopsy.
The crash, authorities say, is still under investigation.
