ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Multiple fire departments along with law enforcement responded to a house fire after home burglars allegedly set it on fire.

According to 9-1-1 dispatchers, an individual called the Sheriff to say that three men had broken into their home. Dispatchers notified deputies, who quickly responded to the scene.

A short time later, reports say, the 9-1-1 call became disconnected. Deputies arrived on the scene to find the home engulfed in flames. Multiple fire departments from Ross and Highland counties responded to assist in putting out the blaze.

The Guardian could not independently verify whether or not anyone was still in the house when the home went up in flames.

The circumstances surrounding the fire remain under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
