CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — According to the Chillicothe Police Department, the victim of Wednesday’s stabbing on South Watt Street in Chillicothe was on the run from law enforcement.
On Wednesday, police responded to 83 South Watt Street in Chillicothe on reports of a stabbing. Reports say Ricky Jay Rapp Jr. was stabbed multiple times in the face, head, and arm. Medics transported him to Adena Medical Center for treatment.
Jimmie Davis, 28, of Chillicothe, admitted to police that he stabbed Rapp. Also arrested for assault was Cheyanna Davis, 25, of Chillicothe. Cheyanna, reports say, was Rapp’s ex-girlfriend. She was allegedly at the house with her brother, Jimmie, to retrieve a few personal items. That is when the incident occurred.
Sources tell the Guardian that Wednesday’s stabbing was in retaliation for a previous incident.
Here’s what we know-
Last week, officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a domestic dispute on Madison Avenue. Reports say officers spoke with Cheyanna Davis, who was bleeding from her face. She told police that her boyfriend, Ricky Rapp Jr., had hit her. After the alleged assault, Rapp fled the scene.
Witnesses told officers that Rapp had first kicked in the bathroom door where Cheyanna Davis was and then started hitting her. Medics took Davis to the hospital for treatment. She suffered a broken nose in the attack.
Jimmie Davis, his sister Cheyanna, and Ricky Rapp, Jr. remain in custody at the Ross County Jail.
