CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Grand Jury handed down 18 indictments during their session this week.

Among those indicted was Terrance Collins III, of Columbus. Collins was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. According to the indictment, Collins led law enforcement in Ross County on a high-speed pursuit in October of last year. If convicted, he could spend up to 3 years in prison.

Also indicted was Shawn Ely of Chillicothe. Ely is charged with multiple felonies, including two counts of felonious assault and receiving stolen property.

In March, officers with the Chillicothe Police were dispatched to a North Sugar Street home on a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from one gunshot. The victim, was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. If convicted, Shawn Ely could spend the next 23 years in prison.
