ROSS COUNTY, Ohio— The trial began this week in the case of Thomas Wyatt Pooler. Pooler is accused of the murder of Rocky Williams.

Authorities say in December of 2020, Pooler came to a home on West Third Street in Bainbridge, shooting Williams, who officials said died a few hours later.

Following the murder, a search began for Pooler, who was located nearly a week later in Adams County.

The trial was slated for May of last year but was continued multiple times.

In addition to the murder charge, Pooler also faces additional charges of felony theft, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, and aggravated possession of drugs.
