CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Law enforcement and SWAT raided a house in Chillicothe on Wednesday.
The bust was related to drugs and came after an officer pulled over a car earlier this week. During the traffic stop, crack cocaine was found and the driver told officers where he bought it.
Police were already familiar with the person who allegedly sold the drugs and setup surveillance on a house on Sycamore Street. While positioned covertly in the neighborhood, police said they saw several drug buys go down. As a result, they prepared a search warrant and raided the house.
Inside, police said they found several drugs and money.
“In plain view of the living room, a digital scale with a white rocky substance was positioned on the living room table along with several cell phones,” said officer Adam Steele. “I know through my training and experience that narcotics dealers use digital scales to weigh their product before sale and cell phones are commonly used to communicate with perspective buyers. Continual search of the living room yielded a small cellophane baggie with more white rocky substance in the couch, more crack pipes, a bag of marijuana and several additional cellular devices were seized in the living room. No other contraband was found or seized.”
Steele said that in the bedroom, in plain view, he saw a large cellophane bag against the back wall with a few smaller cellophane baggies with white powder and a white rocky substance.
Several people were found inside the home and arrested, including Michelle Detty, 33, Terrance “TC” Collins, 43, Brett Noel, 51, and Angela Seward, 51.
