CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department is investigating a reported shooting that took place over the weekend.
According to reports, officers responded to the 100 block of Race Street on Saturday after 9-1-1 dispatchers received multiple calls regarding shots fired in the area.
Witnesses told police that several gunshots were heard in the alleyway between Race and West Water Streets. One person said a car quickly fled the scene following the purported shooting.
Officers, according to reports, located five 9mm shell casings and 3 unfired rounds.
No suspects have been named in the incident, and authorities say the case remains under investigation.
