CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The American Red Cross will host another blood drive today in honor of local hero Sgt. Eric Kocheran. 

Kocheran has remained in the hospital since the deadly shooting at the Ross County Law Complex on November 17.

Sgt. Kocheran, reports state, opened the back door of the sheriff’s office and was approached by the shooter, later identified as Nicholas Mitchell. Mitchell would tell Sgt. Kocheran that someone was threatening his family and wanted him to hurt kids before opening fire.

This is the third blood drive in honor of Sgt. Kocheran at the South Central Ohio Chapter at 181 N. Bridge Street in Chillicothe.

The blood drive goes from 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
