ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Health District has announced that Janelle McManis, MPH, REHS, will be the next Health Commissioner, starting on February 14, 2023.
McManis has a wealth of experience in public health, having worked at the Vinton County Health Department for over 16 years. She has held several administrative roles, including Deputy Administrator/Director of Environmental Health and Accreditation Coordinator. Under her leadership, the Vinton County Health Department received National Accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).
In addition to her work in public health, McManis is an Ohio Registered Environmental Health Specialist and a member of the Ohio Environmental Health Association’s Sewage Technical Committee. She holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Capital University.
McManis, who was born in Ross County and currently resides in Vinton County with her family, is looking forward to taking on the role of Health Commissioner and serving the community.
