ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A local woman has been indicted by a grand jury in Ross County.

According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, on December 3, deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Route 41 for a 9-1-1 hangup call.

The sheriff’s office said when deputies arrived at the residence, they spoke with a woman who claimed she was assaulted by her adult daughter, 34-year-old Alexis Knisley.

The deputies said in their initial report that while they were investigating the alleged incident, they were attacked by Knisley.

She is charged with attempted felonious assault, obstruction, and harassment with a bodily substance.

If convicted, she faces just under 11 years in prison.

Knisley is one of 15 indictments handed down this week. Officials say the remaining indictments remain sealed.
