CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District recently released inspection reports for several businesses and schools in the area, shedding light on critical and non-critical issues. These inspections aim to ensure the safety and hygiene standards of local establishments.

On May 10, Walmart, situated along River Trace Road in Chillicothe, received a citation from inspectors for a blocked hand sink in the produce prep area. The inspector addressed the concern by reviewing cold/hot temperatures with the responsible person and emphasizing the importance of food safety training requirements.

Another establishment cited on the same day was Jerry’s Pizza West, on Star Drive. The inspection revealed a non-critical issue involving the accumulation of debris on floors and walls near the mixer, slicer, and mop sink. The health inspector notified the management of the findings for prompt action.

On May 11, Bishop Flaget School underwent an inspection that resulted in the discovery of a critical issue. According to the health district, inspectors found evidence of rodent pests on the floor of the dry food pantry.
