CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A woman says a man tried to solicit her as she was walking to the local Tim Horton’s.
According to official reports, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon. The woman, police said, was visibly upset as she recounted the incident.
The woman explained that she had dropped off her father’s vehicle for repairs and decided to pass the time by walking to a nearby Tim Horton’s. While walking in front of the old Payless Shoe store parking lot on East Main Street, she was approached by a white male with white hair and a white beard. The man was wearing a camouflage hat featuring a Ford emblem and was driving a black truck of an unknown make or model.

According to her account, the man appeared to be waiting for someone, but upon seeing her, he approached and offered her a ride. Despite her initial refusal, he persisted and mentioned the possibility of earning quick money. Per her statement to the police, she was perplexed by his intentions, she reiterated her rejection, explaining that she was meeting her father nearby. Undeterred, the man, per the report, continued to press her, even making inappropriate comments about compensation for sexual favors. Eventually, reports say, he drove away.
Law enforcement officers conducted patrols in the area but were unable to find the individual or the vehicle described. Additionally, they reviewed surveillance footage from nearby establishments but were unable to find any evidence of the encounter.
