PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into what authorities have labeled an “accidental shooting” involving a young teenager. The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a response from deputies and first responders who rushed to a residence located in the 2000 block of Pine Top Road.
Initial reports from the Sheriff’s Office indicate that the victim, a 12-year-old, sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital via a medical helicopter. The current condition of the young teen remains unknown at the time of this publication.
