A high speed pursuit in Ross County ended after a trooper was hit by the fleeing car Thursday morning.
Highway Patrol, Ross deputies, and Chillicothe Police were involved in the chase.
It was happening in the area of Putnam Road, Egypt Pike, and route 207 around 2 a.m. Thursday. The people inside reportedly threw out baggies along the way, deputies said.
The chase ended near route 35 and route 138 in a serious crash after the fleeing driver T-Boned a trooper. The trooper was not seriously hurt, but was taken to the emergency room as a precaution; he was shaken up.
Two people in the fleeing car, a Mitsubishi Eclipse had to be helped out by firefighters. Those two were rushed to Adena Regional in stable condition. A third person inside the car was also not seriously injured.
The car reportedly caught fire briefly.
