A construction worker is dead after being hit and killed in Ross County.
Troopers say that it happened Thursday along Route 28 near the 17 mile marker.
The patrol reports that Tiffany Simons, Chillicothe, was driving her car when she hit a man who was directing traffic.
Kyle Rinehart, 31, Mansfield, was standing in the roadway directing traffic.
The road was limited to one lane due to work on electric lines near the intersection of State Route 28 and Coral Lane, troopers said.
Rinehart was transported to Adena Medical Center by Chillicothe EMS where he later died.
No charges have been filed as of yet, and the crash remains under investigation.
