JACKSON, Ohio — In a bid to provide individuals with a chance to address legal hurdles, the Jackson County Municipal Court is organizing an Amnesty Day on Friday, February 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For those living under the weight of warrants and the constant apprehension of legal consequences, this event offers a unique opportunity. Promising a judgment-free environment, the Amnesty Day aims to assist individuals without resorting to arrests or jail time, with the exception of felonies.
Hosted by the Jackson County Municipal Court, the event will facilitate the recalling of warrants and the establishment of new court dates. Probation Officers will be present to gather updated information and collaboratively devise plans for moving forward.
Recognizing the challenges posed by blocks on drivers’ licenses, the event will feature the expertise of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles staff and Jackson County Clerk of Courts/BMV Deputy Registrar Seth Michael. They will be on hand to guide individuals through the process of restoring their licenses.
Judge Musick will play a pivotal role in the event, offering insights and assistance in removing blocks on licenses, providing a clear roadmap for license restoration.
Amnesty Day extends beyond legal matters, addressing the multifaceted issues individuals may face. Drug Court personnel will be available to those seeking help with addiction, emphasizing a holistic approach to personal recovery.
Individuals are urged not to miss this opportunity to reset their legal standing. For inquiries or more information, please contact the Jackson County Municipal Court at 740-286-2718 or clerk@jmcourt.com.
