ATHENS, Ohio — Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office were kept busy on Tuesday, February 13th, responding to a variety of calls for service across the county.

Threats and Disputes: Deputies mediated a threat complaint on McDougal Road in Millfield and responded to two separate reports of potential domestic disputes – one in O’Bleness that resulted in an arrest and another in Hockingport where one individual was arrested on a warrant.

Warrants and Attempts to Locate: Authorities attempted to locate Scott Stepp, who has outstanding felony warrants, after receiving reports of him being seen in Guysville. Unfortunately, their search was unsuccessful.

Other Calls: Deputies investigated reports of suspicious activity and disorderly conduct in Guysville and Albany, ultimately issuing a disorderly conduct warning in the latter case. They also addressed a potential safety hazard on Mill Creek Road in Millfield after receiving a report of possible trash and junk blocking the roadway.
