LAURELVILLE, Ohio — The community is rallying behind a local hero, a firefighter who is courageously battling pancreatic cancer. A GoFundMe account has been set up to support Captain Branden Anderson, a volunteer firefighter for the Laurelville Volunteer Fire Department.
Organizers describe Anderson as “selfless and compassionate with everyone he meets.” His dedication to serving others makes his fight all the more inspiring.
“Here in our tight-knit community, Captain Branden Anderson is more than just a volunteer firefighter, truck driver, and mentor; he’s a beloved neighbor, friend, and pillar of strength. As he faces pancreatic cancer with remarkable courage, Branden’s unwavering dedication to serving others continues to shine brightly, reminding us of the deep bonds that unite us. In every call to action, every mentoring moment, he is the very essence of our hometown spirit—a beacon of resilience and compassion that lights the way for us all,” said Village councilwoman Colleen Robinette-Rife.
