CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to the following incidents on April 23, 2024:

  • 1:09 a.m. – Warrant Served: Deputies served a warrant on South Mcarthur Street in Ross County.
  • 7:09 a.m. – Traffic Violation: A driver was cited for failure to obey traffic control devices after running a stop light on North Bridge Street in Chillicothe.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Theft: Officers responded to a theft complaint on Moss Hollow Road in Chillicothe. The homeowner reported a package stolen from their property.
  • 10:06 a.m. – Possible Breaking & Entering: Deputies investigated a possible break-in on Third Street in Kingston. No evidence of forced entry or theft was discovered.
  • 11:12 a.m.- Harassment: A harassment complaint was filed on Vernon Dr in Chillicothe related to an ongoing dispute between parties during a separation.
  • 11:16 a.m. – Criminal Mischief: Officers responded to a criminal mischief complaint on Sulphur Lick Road in Frankfort. The caller reported possible pry marks on a camper door.
  • 11:50 a.m. – Disorderly Conduct: Deputies responded to an active assault call on SR 327 in Londonderry. Involved parties declined to press charges and were warned for disorderly conduct.
  • 12:05 p.m. – Reckless Driving: A traffic stop was initiated for reckless driving on Main Street in Chillicothe. The vehicle was seen leaving a parking lot peeling tires.
  • 1:07 p.m. – Disorderly Conduct: Deputies responded to a possible disorderly conduct complaint at a gas station on S Main Street in Kingston. The matter was deemed a civil issue.
  • 1:21 p.m. – Welfare Check: Officers conducted a welfare check on Spargursville Road in Chillicothe.
  • 1:29 p.m. – Lost Passport: A caller on Borland’s Xing in Chillicothe reported a lost passport. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
  • 2:18 p.m. – Harassment: Officers responded to a harassment complaint on Rosewood Ct in Chillicothe.
  • 3:12 p.m. – Stolen Firearm: Deputies took a report regarding a stolen firearm on Anderson Station Road in Chillicothe.
  • 3:55 p.m. – Property Damage: Officers responded to Adena Hospital in Chillicothe to investigate a report of a vehicle damaged in a private property accident.
  • 4:18 p.m. – Theft: Deputies responded to a theft complaint on West High Street in Frankfort. The complainant alleged incomplete work by a hired contractor.
  • 4:24 p.m. – Found Property: Deputies responded to the Chillicothe Law Enforcement Complex regarding found property.

  • 6:31 p.m. – Theft: Officers responded to a theft complaint on McDonald Hill Road in Frankfort. The caller reported a firearm stolen.
  • 6:38 p.m. – Hit and Run Accident: Deputies investigated a hit-and-run accident in Carousel Court Mobile Home Park in Chillicothe.
  • 6:53 p.m. – Theft: Officers responded to a shoplifting incident at Family Dollar in Londonderry.

  • 9:54 p.m. – Aggravated Menacing: Officers received a report of threats made by an individual against a residence on SR 772 in Chillicothe.
  • 10:32 p.m. – Possible Medical Situation: Deputies responded to Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe on a report of a possibly intoxicated male.
