WAVERLY, Ohio — A former Waverly police officer is among those arrested following federal drug raids conducted at multiple locations in Pike County.
Mark A. Anglemyer Jr., who has also served with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and as an auxiliary officer in Piketon and Oak Hill, was identified as one of the individuals taken into custody.
The Guardian previously reported on the coordinated raids, which targeted separate residences.
The operations, led by federal authorities, have not yet been elaborated on by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). A spokesperson confirmed that three others were also taken into custody.
Also arrested:
Arin Sodaro, age 37, Waverly
Blake Mankin, age 23, Waverly
Heather Howell, age 36, Waverly
Anglemyer and the three others are currently being held in the Franklin County Jail under a federal hold and are not eligible for bond at this time.
All four face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Anabolic Steroids, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Anabolic Steroids, Conspiracy to Use a Communication Facility in Commission of a Drug Felony, and Money Laundering.
The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover more details about the extent of the drug operation and any additional arrests or charges that may follow.
