GREENFIELD, Ohio — Armed suspects stormed a Greenfield Rite Aid Monday evening, escaping with a significant quantity of narcotic medications.
Officers from the Greenfield Police Department and Highland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the robbery in progress around 7:30 PM. According to authorities, three African American suspects entered the store wearing medical masks and handed the pharmacy technician a note. One of the suspects then brandished a gun, jumping over the counter, holding a store employee at gunpoint while demanding all the store’s narcotic medications.
The suspects, witnesses said, held guns to “two staff members heads” during the robbery.
After obtaining a large amount of the medications, the suspects fled the scene on foot.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact their local law enforcement agencies.
