I followed the vehicle as the driver made a right-hand turn onto Watt St, then a left onto Jefferson Ave. The driver then immediately tried to park on the curb without using a turn signal, at which time I activated my overhead lights. Upon checking the vehicle registration through LEADS, it expired in 10/2022. Driver Georgia Rayfield stated she has already been cited for the expired registration twice in the past.

I ran the tag through LEADS, and it showed the registered owner, Dylan Smith, had a suspended driver’s license. I initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 100 Block of E. 7th St, made contact with the driver, Dylan Smith, and advised him of his suspension. Dylan was issued a citation for DUS. He was given a court date of August 5th, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Chillicothe Municipal Court.

Once he was taken to the RCJ, the jail nurse advised he had to be medically cleared for a leg infection he had.
