CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A dual drug raid in Chillicothe led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs, according to a press release from the Chillicothe Police Department.
On August 10, the 23 Task Force, in collaboration with the Portsmouth Police Department and the Chillicothe SWAT Team, conducted simultaneous raids at 155 and 159 West Water Street, near downtown Chillicothe. Authorities reported that nearly 4 ounces of fentanyl, enough to potentially kill over 56,000 people, was confiscated during the operation. Cocaine, cash, and a firearm were also seized.
Alec Tivis, 27, of Cincinnati, was arrested on a felony warrant for possession and drug trafficking. Adontis Harris, 26, of Chillicothe, was also taken into custody on a misdemeanor warrant.
Police indicated that additional charges may be filed pending the results of lab analysis of the seized drugs. The investigation is ongoing.
