ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, New Jersey — Unilever has issued a recall for approximately 137,000 cases of its Popsicle Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pop products, specifically those marked for individual sale. The recall stems from the discovery that these products may contain milk, an ingredient not listed on the packaging, posing a serious risk for those with milk allergies or sensitivities.
The recall is limited to single-serve Popsicle Jolly Rancher products, typically distributed through ice cream trucks, concession stands, and grab-and-go freezers across the United States. It does not impact the 18-count Popsicle Jolly Rancher multi-pack products sold in grocery stores and retailers nationwide.
The recalled products include various lot codes such as MAY1725KY4, JAN3026KY4, and MAR1226KY4, among others. These were distributed nationally to wholesale distributors and operators between February 1 and August 15, 2024.
Two allergic reactions have been reported in connection with the recalled product, prompting this action. No other Unilever or Popsicle products are affected by the recall.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to consume them and to visit www.PopsicleRecall.com for reimbursement instructions. Further inquiries can be directed to Unilever’s consumer services at (888) 926-3554, available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time.
