CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department has introduced its newest recruit to the community—a 15-month-old Belgian Malinois. The young canine has started his training at the Ohio State Highway Patrol K9 Training Academy, where he will undergo extensive preparation before hitting the streets of Chillicothe.
The department has yet to name the new K9, but they announced on social media that they will be partnering with the 6th-grade DARE classes at Chillicothe Intermediate School to decide on a fitting name.
