CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District is introducing a new mobile unit to make flu vaccinations more accessible to the community. On Wednesday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the mobile clinic will be parked in front of the Ross County Courthouse, providing flu shots to residents.
Health officials are encouraging everyone to take advantage of this convenient opportunity, emphasizing the importance of getting vaccinated ahead of the flu season. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months of age and older receive a flu vaccine annually. Early vaccination allows the body time to develop immunity before the flu virus begins circulating widely.
The Ross County Health District accepts most insurance plans. Residents are advised to bring their insurance ID cards to receive the benefit. For those without accepted insurance coverage, the cost of the flu shot is $30.
