CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Residents of Ross County are advised that the 911 emergency system is currently down and unable to receive calls. The outage was reported earlier today, and technicians are working to restore full functionality.
In the interim, those needing emergency assistance are asked to call the Ross County Sheriff’s Office directly at 740-773-1185. For the city, dial 740-773-1191 for Chillicothe police & fire/EMS
Sheriff George W. Lavender has confirmed that all resources are being directed toward resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
