ROBERTSON COUNTY, Kentucky — Kentucky State Police announced on Thursday that 32-year-old Torilena May Fields has been arrested in connection with a disturbing case involving a dismembered body and what appeared to be cooked human remains inside a Northern Kentucky residence. The gruesome discovery unfolded on Wednesday afternoon after a man who had come to perform work at the property on Brierly Ridge in Robertson County called authorities around 12:30 p.m.
According to police reports, the man had been at the home the day prior and had seen both the victim and Fields. He noted that Fields had exhibited bizarre behavior, acting confrontational and allegedly “casting spells”. When he returned on Wednesday and knocked on the door, there was no response. As he searched the property, he reportedly came upon a horrifying scene—drag marks in the grass leading to a dismembered body behind the house. The victim’s arms, legs, and head had been removed, according to law enforcement officials.
Upon arriving at the scene, Kentucky State Police troopers made even more chilling discoveries. Additional body parts and organs were found hidden inside a folded mattress near the home. Inside the residence, troopers found what appeared to be cooked human remains inside a pot in the oven, raising the level of horror.
Authorities have yet to release the identity of the deceased, as the investigation continues. Fields was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center. She faces multiple charges, including obstructing governmental operations, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
She is scheduled to appear in court on October 14. Further details about the case, including the victim’s identity and any possible motive, remain under investigation.
This shocking incident has left the quiet community of Robertson County in disbelief, as police continue their inquiry into what led to this brutal crime.
