CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Two men allegedly involved in a recent shooting near the area of East Main Street and South Bridge Street in Chillicothe will appear in court today for their continued arraignment. Kortland Bates and William J. Maddison-Allen III have both been charged with felonious assault in connection to the October 12 incident.
Bates was apprehended by the Chillicothe SWAT team at his Lillie Street residence shortly after the shooting. Details of the police report have not been released at this time. Authorities say that if convicted, both men could face up to eight years in prison, with additional time due to gun specifications.
