Two construction workers were flown from the Menards Distribution Center construction site on Saturday.
It happened in Jefferson Township just after 10 a.m. along route 41 inside the site at Creamer Road.
Two construction workers were in the middle of moving a large steel beam when it fell on them, said Sheriff Vernon Stanforth.
Both have severe leg injuries and were flown by MedFlight to Columbus-area hospitals, according to Jefferson Township Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Warner.
Menards chose Jefferson Township in early 2019 as the site of their next distribution center. Construction was started in the fall. Once competed, the company will create 150 permanent jobs, according to a 2019 news release.
