CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A high-speed motorcycle pursuit on US 35 near Pleasant Valley Road ended with the suspect evading law enforcement early Friday morning, according to a report from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy observed a motorcycle entering US 35 from the Pleasant Valley Road on-ramp at an excessive speed, weaving in and out of traffic. When the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect accelerated to nearly 90 mph.

As emergency lights and sirens were activated, the motorcyclist refused to comply, cutting between vehicles. Despite law enforcement’s attempt to halt the speeding rider, the suspect continued evasive maneuvers and ultimately disappeared from sight while navigating between vehicles near the US 35 eastbound/US 23 south split.

With no immediate leads, authorities deactivated emergency response and issued a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) alert to local and state law enforcement agencies in an effort to track the suspect down.

At this time, no further information has been released regarding the identity of the motorcyclist or whether any additional enforcement actions have been taken. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
