HILLSBORO, Ohio — The SSCC Theatre Company is inviting students and community members to audition for its summer production of “Tiny Beautiful Things” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at Southern State Community College’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive.
The play, adapted by Nia Vardalos from Cheryl Strayed’s bestselling book, portrays the emotional and humorous exchanges between an anonymous advice columnist, “Sugar,” and her readers seeking guidance. Drawing from Strayed’s experiences, it explores human struggles, healing, and life’s challenges with empathy and courage.
Auditioners will perform cold readings from the script. Those interested in crew positions will be interviewed during the audition. To schedule an alternative audition date before May 6, contact Director Rainee Angles at [email protected].
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.
