On October 9, 2025, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to numerous incidents across the city, ranging from traffic violations and thefts to domestic violence and mental health calls. A total of 23 cases were reported, several of which remain under investigation. Below are summaries of each case in the order reported.
Road Rage Incident Assists OSHP

Officers were dispatched to North Bridge Street near Raising Cane’s to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a road rage incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Rear-End Crash on East Water Street

A crash resulting from failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead was reported on East Water Street. No injuries and no further action noted.
Vehicle Damaged on Caldwell Street

Police responded to a domestic dispute at Wendy’s located at 941 Toledo Street. The incident was classified as disorderly conduct.
Juvenile Dispute Reported on 7th Street

Domestic Violence and Strangulation on Mechanic Street

Warrant Served at LEC Lobby

Brian Malone voluntarily turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Complex for a warrant related to domestic menacing. He was booked and will appear in court on October 10, 2025.
Welfare Check for Suicidal Person on Plyleys Lane
Case Number: PD-P2505221
Chillicothe Police assisted the Ross County Sheriff’s Office with a suicidal individual at 1444 Plyleys Lane. The incident was logged as non-criminal.
