Ross County Auditor Tom Spetnagel wants consumers to know that the site ohdog-license.com is not an authorized vendor of Ohio dog licenses.
“We are in the business of protecting consumers, and unfortunately, this site is a scam,” Spetnagel said.
Licenses must be purchased at the County Auditor’s office, online via the doglicenses.us site, or from one of the Auditor’s authorized agents within the county (e.g. the Ross County Humane Society, or one of the animal clinics or retail stores that have been authorized by the county).
A full list of those agents has been posted on Auditor Spetnagel’s Facebook page.
If consumers have any question about where or how to purchase their dog license, they should contact the Auditor directly at 740-702-3080 or by email at [email protected].
