A man was airlifted to Columbus after he was hit by a car while trying to move a dead deer out of the middle of the road.
Troopers report that Michael W. Brown, 62, Bainbridge, stopped in the middle of route 772 to remove a dead deer from the middle of the road. While in the middle of the road trying to move the dead carcass, a truck driven by Bobby C. Waterbury, 79, Chillicothe, swerved in an attempt to not hit Brown, however, his efforts were not successful.
Waterbury struck Brown, and hit Brown’s car and a guardrail before coming to a stop.
Brown was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to Columbus. There is no word on the extent of his injuries.
