EDITOR’S NOTE: Addressing the story about bones found

Earlier this evening, a story was shared by the Guardian surrounding bones found in Jackson County. In the article it was speculated by the writer, Stephen Neely that the bones belonged to a missing Jackson County man.

Neely is a contractual-freelance writer for the Guardian and our agreement has been terminated effective immediately.



As the editor of this publication, I take full responsibility for the information written and would like to offer my sincere apologies and regret to anyone affected by the information shared.
