A woman who was seven months pregnant is believed to have overdosed Monday afternoon.
It happened on Bowdle Road in northwestern Ross County between Clarksburg and Chillicothe at around 5:30 p.m.
The woman — who the Guardian is not naming — was turning blue when someone called 9-1-1. The caller told dispatchers the woman was seven months pregnant and was gurgling at the mouth.
Medics from two townships, as well as a deputy raced to the scene.
The woman was unconscious, but was given multiple rounds of NARCAN. She was taken to Adena Regional. Her condition at the time of this report is unknown.
It is not known how much impact, if any, the overdose has had on the fetus, or if the woman and the fetus inside her will live.
